If I Stay by Gayle Foreman

                                           

Mia, remembers her life while in a coma, after a horrific car accident, and must decide if she will stay among the living.

Many of my students have read and loved this book. I must say I agree with them. I read a school copy and wished for my own to mark up.  Ms. Foreman made me cry with her insight, laugh with Mia’s observations. My cover has a quote from USA today that says, “Will appeal to fans of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight.” If I Stay is so far above Twilight, I don’t think they even remotely compare.  

There is a sequel/companion that went immediately to my TBR pile. I don’t care if someone else wants to read it. I’m hoarding it.
